What do I want?

April 8th, 2008

I have been reading several books (Ask and It Is Given) and online articles (creatavision.com | debramoorhead.com) from people who practice the Law of Attraction. Over and over again I read that I need to write down what I want and be as specific about it as possible. I am reading one e-book that explains it in a slightly different way. I don’t have to have my entire desire - in complete full-out detail - at the very beginning of this process…particularly when the thing that I want is big. When something is too big, for me anyway, the details get very fuzzy and I loose my focus. I then get easily discouraged and overwhelmed, and just give up. I like the idea that I can keep adding the details to my desire. That seems much more manageable. I don’t feel so overwhelmed. I can write some of the things that describe what I want, however fuzzy and vague they may be right now. Each day, I can add to desire…getting more and more clear with the details of exactly what my desire looks like. I can do that.

So with that, I will start with what I know right now….fully expecting that this “desire” will grow and expand in detail and become clearer and more focused as I go.

I am a digital designer; I work from home in my studio at least 50% of the time. The company I work for is close enough so that the days I do go into the office, I am able to ride my bike or scooter to work. I enjoy the freedom of doing what I want to do and being able to work from home. I make at least $60,000 per year and am very successful at my job. I work primarily with PhotoShop, Flash, and DreamWeaver to create multimedia designs, graphic designs and illustrations. I absolutely love my job and enjoy working for this company. I feel energized and enthusiastic each day that I wake up…knowing that I will work on creative, exciting and rewarding projects.
